The Office of Fair Trading (OFT), now the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), has published guidance on the standards consumers should expect from price comparison websites. This page sets out how Compare My Heating Oil complies with that guidance.
Compare My Heating Oil is operated by TMR Digital Ltd (company number 15550089), registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 4387a, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2EW.
All listed suppliers appear in the directory. One position is paid for: Certas Energy holds the featured listing, under a partnership dated 30 August 2026. A featured listing is advertising space. It buys the card shown above the results and at the top of each location page, and the bar at the foot of every page. It buys nothing else: not a place in the alphabetical list below, not a claim about price, and not the removal of anything unfavourable. The card is labelled "Paid placement" wherever it appears, Certas Energy's profile page carries a persistent "Featured partner" label, and the bar at the foot of the page is marked as an ad.
Every supplier below the featured card is listed alphabetically. We do not accept payment to move a supplier up that list, to add one to an area it does not cover, or to leave one out. No other supplier has a commercial relationship with us.
We hold no price data and no review data for any supplier, paid or unpaid, so no listing on this site - featured or otherwise - is a claim that a supplier is cheapest or best rated.
Compare My Heating Oil currently lists 83 named UK heating oil suppliers. We do not claim to cover every heating oil supplier in the UK. Small, local or unlisted suppliers may not appear in our directory. Where we are aware that our coverage is incomplete for a particular area, we note this on the relevant page.
We do not collect or publish supplier prices on this site. Any price you are quoted is set by the individual supplier at the time of order. Heating oil prices change daily and sometimes more frequently, and vary by volume, location and delivery speed.
Domestic heating oil is sold per litre and is subject to VAT at the reduced rate of 5%. To get a price, request a quote through this site or contact a supplier directly.
Supplier profile information - including fleet sizes, coverage areas, and UKIFDA membership status - is sourced from publicly available industry publications, supplier websites and Companies House filings. We update profile information periodically but it may not always reflect the most current position of a given supplier.
When you purchase heating oil from a supplier found via this site, your contract is with that supplier - not with Compare My Heating Oil or TMR Digital Ltd. Your statutory consumer rights apply to that contract. If you have a dispute with a supplier, you should contact the supplier directly in the first instance. UKIFDA members are bound by the UKIFDA Code of Practice.
If you have a complaint about this site or the information on it, please contact us at hello@comparemyheatingoil.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 20 working days.
